An actual blog

Going to try to flesh out the site a bit today. I'm not 100% sure what I want on it, but it might be fun to just have a little daily blog or something, but a way to keep it sepreate from the other stuff I'm working on. Like a tech blog. That would be fun, can show off development of my stuff. Right now there's not much to say about that as I'm still playing around with it. This is a personal site so I can really do whatever I want with it. But in general the kind of things I might want on it are:

  • Personal blog (basically what this is)
  • More technical/long form blog
  • Project portfolio/resume
  • Todo list for projects/website/whatever
  • Goats

For the fun of it I'm going to do a lot of it myself. Because are you really a developer if you haven't rolled your own blog? Need to make my own todo list first though. Oh wait no that's on the list.

Guess one problem I need to tackle is how to host it. Right now I'm using Azure's "Static Web App" which.... is okay I guess. There's a lot hampering it, but I mostly plan on having the site be a static website. It's just a react front-end right now. But I may get to the point where I want a back end to help serve stuff as well. Just using a storage account for a few assets (... okay one extremely annoying asset), but it's still entirely unfunctional. No way to get content for a potential blog post. This is just a series of .md files that I might do something more with. Probably postgresql?
